"Creativity and cultural experiences are fundamental to the lives of young people," according to the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education, with schools reporting academic achievements as, "flourishing in a holistic environment that prioritises wellbeing and happiness and celebrates the creativity of pupils."

Currently, however, students are feeling increasingly overwhelmed. The World Health Organisation found nearly three quarters of girls aged 15 feel pressured by school work, and over three fifths of boys feel the same - with England ranking third out of 45 countries. If this weren't enough, less than half of both 13 and 15 year-old students feel they have high teacher support.

We believe creativity can help solve this problem, and is key to unlocking potential. Students deserve to be heard, nurtured and encouraged in a way that best suits their needs, outside of what Mike Coldwell, Professor of Education at Sheffield Hallam University, calls the current "accountability regime."

The CreativeWise was founded to place creativity front and centre in tuition, matching the most influential and widely-used learning models to the needs of the individual, by exclusively employing professionals from an array of creative industries.

Our books are full of experienced educators who have worked as musicians, artists, actors and more, able to deliver cross-curriculum support to all ages.

By uniquely working with creatives who understand the importance of both academia and the arts, students thrive.

Communication, empathy and imagination are key components of expert tuition and are essential to not only producing results but also, we believe, a curious mind.

It’s become clearer than ever that we must prioritise teaching for creativity to meet our future needs and to give all children the opportunities they deserve.
